Sweet & Savory Mini Puff Pastries 

By now we kind of established how much I like pastries in general and puff pastries in specific. I find them easy and so versatile (the picture speaks a thousand words :). I also do find this puff pastry shape to be one of the easiest yet presentable. So, try it out and share with me your opinion.

Ingredients:
  • mini puff pastry sheets
  • egg wash
  • sesame seeds
  • cream cheese
  • vanilla
  • powdered sugar 
  • pesto
  • tomato
  • cucumber
  • onion
  • mango 
  • strawberry, blueberry, blackberry & raspberry 

Instructions:

-Start with bordering your puff pastry sheets, then brush the borders with the egg wash and sprinkle some sesame seeds on top. (use the sesame seeds only for the savory mini tarts)

-Bake the mini puff pastries at 180C for 15-20 minutes or till golden.

-For the sweet pastries, prep a mixture in a paste form made of cream cheese, vanilla and powdered sugar. And for the savory ones, use homemade pesto.

-Spread the pastries with the cream cheese mixture and the pesto, then top with your favorite fruits and vegetables. (for the sweet tarts, I choose a mix of berries and mango, and for the savory, I did tomato, cucumber, onion and fresh basil)

-Dust your sweet pastries with some powdered sugar and you’re done. Bon Appetit!!
