Tahin Helvalı Sigara Böreği
The Tahin Helvalı Sigara Böreği was one of favorite snacks or better be called desserts tried in Northern Cyprus. All I can say is they really did like their tahin helvalı.
The dessert is easy with the Middle Eastern notes. It'll taste so sweet and warm and cold from the ice cream. Almost like a hug on a plate.
Give it a try and travel across the continents through your taste buds.
Ingredients:
- filo sheets
- helva
- sunflower oil
- vanilla ice cream with pistachio
- pistachio
- rose petals
- honey
Instructions:
-Prep the triangular filo sheets by brushing water all over.
-Slice the helva and place it on the sheet end.
-Roll the sheets and place them aside.
-Deep fry the rolls in oil till crispy and golden.
-Dish the rolls in a service plate.
-Serve with ice cream and crushed pistachios.
-For extra decorations add rose petals and honey on top.
