French Onion Baked Potatoes
French Onion Soup Baked Potato is two favorite recipes mashed in to one. Lately, I have been making everything French onion soup based and I think it works great each and every time.
The recipe itself is easy, but can get time consuming if you'll caramelize the onion in the same setting. A tip, make a batch of French onion soup a head of time and grab out of the fridge whenever you're ready. Bon Appetit!!!!
Ingredients:
- 2 tbsps butter
- 1 large white onion, thinly sliced
- a pinch of salt
- 1/8 cup apple cider vinegar
- 3 cups of vegetable broth
- 3 sage leaves
- 3 potatoes
- emmental cheese
- parmesan cheese
Instructions:
-In a pan, caramelise the white onion slices in butter.
-Add a pinch of salt to the white onion.
-Once the onion gets golden add vinegar, broth and sage leaves.
-Bake the potatoes at 180C for 45-50 minutes or till fork tender.
-Deep cut the baked potatoes from the middle and fill in the french onion soup.
-Shred a generous amount of emmental and parmesan cheese on top.
-Bake for extra 10-15 minutes at 180C.
-Serve warm with extra parmesan cheese.
